Geekish · feed roulette

A small tool against the For-You feed. The OPML below is what I read — security pros, retro-computing archivists, working programmers, the occasional grumpy economist. The lever picks one at random, fetches it live the moment you press it, and gives you the one post it lands on.

The point is the opposite of optimisation. You will hit obscure entries from feeds that publish once a year. You will hit posts on topics you would never have searched for. That is the lever.

FEED ROULETTE · THE GEEKISH

$ curl --random one of the geekish

Pull the lever. The server picks one of the curated feeds at random, fetches it live, and hands back a single post. No recommendation engine. No algorithm. The roll is the recommendation.

The feed list is downloadable as an OPML file — import it into your own RSS reader.
